The first recorded match takes us back to 1876 between Newport & Stafford, however the club played sporadically between then and our official formation in 1946 by Mr R Lemon.
Since then, Newport Men’s XV have been competing at a variety of levels the highest ever being at National 2.
Currently Newport is in the strongest position they have ever been in with an outstanding Mini and Junior section that is now a clear pathway all the way into each of the Senior Teams.
